A Shorter Handle Changes How This Broom Fits Into the Lineup
The word Compact matters here. This is not a tiny handheld brush—the broom head is still about 12.5 inches across. What changes is the handle.
It telescopes from around 18 inches to 40 inches, so it can be shortened considerably when a long floor broom would be awkward to maneuver or store. At full extension, it is still noticeably shorter than the 58-inch and 61-inch FURemover brooms.
That difference is worth considering before anything else. If you want maximum reach across large open floors, one of the longer versions may make more sense. If a shorter adjustable handle suits the way you clean or the space where the broom will be stored, the Compact fills that role.
It Handles More Than One Kind of Floor
Pet hair does not land on just one surface. It can work into a rug, collect along the edge of a room, or drift across tile and wood.
The rubber bristles can be worked over carpet and rugs to bring loose hair together. On suitable hard floors, the same head can be used for hair, dust, and light household debris.
There is no need to treat it as a replacement for every other cleaning tool. It is simply a manual rubber broom that is useful when sweeping or working loose hair together is the job in front of you.
The Other Side Is a Squeegee
The back edge of the broom head is straight rather than bristled. That edge works as a squeegee for small amounts of liquid and other wet cleanup on suitable smooth surfaces.
It is a secondary feature, but a practical one. You do not need to change heads or reach for a separate floor squeegee every time there is a small wet area to deal with.
Rinse the Rubber Head When It Needs It
Hair and dust can be cleared from the bristles as you work. When the head needs a more complete cleaning, rinse it and let it dry before putting the broom away.
As with any floor-cleaning tool, surface finishes can vary. On delicate, newly finished, or unfamiliar flooring, test a small area first rather than assuming every finish will react exactly the same way.
